Why do you call yourself a Cook and not a Private Chef or Personal Chef?
A private chef is employed by one individual or family full time. A personal chef serves several clients, and is usually classically trained in order to become a Personal Chef. I am not trained as a Chef, but I do have over 13 years of real cooking experience. I decided to turn a lifelong hobby into a full time business which has now become my passion.
My culinary skills have been refined over time by catering for many different events including dinner parties, birthdays and other special occasions and also by cooking for my own busy family. I pride myself on my ability to cater for all tastes, even people who are fussy about what they eat.
I dont believe that you should need to learn a new language to order from a menu. I also dont think that food should look like it belongs in an art gallery. I prepare good honest, healthy meals using high quality locally sourced ingredients. Cooked to restaurant standards without the hassle, simple!
How much does it cost?
I only charge for the personal chef services, ingredients are provided at cost price with all receipts provided. Please contact me for my terms and conditions and a free no obligation quote. As a guide Personal Chef services start at £35.00 for the first diner decreasing by £5.00 for each diner thereafter. You can see more details by clicking on Services.
How long will your Personal Chef be there?
I will be cooking several different dishes from scratch, so this will likely take at least 2 hours although arrangements will be made in advance to ensure that the cooking times and dates fit into your schedule.
Do you provide crockery, cutlery, glasses and linen?
No, you should ensure that you have everything you need for the event, As your personal chef I will discuss this with you beforehand, to ensure that everything runs smoothly.
Who serves the food?
I do, I’m not a silver service waiter but I will make sure you receive a first class friendly and efficient service at all times.
What should I do to prepare for your arrival?
All you need to do is make sure you kitchen is safe and clean and that all required cooking equipment works (most importantly the cooker)
What happens if I need to cancel or change the date of my event?
If you cancel 10 working days in advance of the date booked you will receive a full refund of any deposit paid, Cancellations after this time must rearrange the session to another time or forfeit their deposit.
